The author has a bachelor's degree in Biology, and a master's degree in Microbiology. He has worked as a researcher, writer and editor. Currently a technical writer with an IT company, he is interested in health, science and technology, information technology, history, literature, language, culture, the environment, and futuristic. He considers it a special advocacy to preserve endangered species, languages and cultures, and to use science and technology to accomplish this, as well as to promote equality for all sectors of society and eliminate discrimination. In connection with this, he also believes in giving everyone access to quality of life.

This blog, which hopes to provide food choices to diabetics comparable to the rest of the population, is an attempt to work toward this goal. The author has had Type 2 diabetes for about ten years. This blog is an effort to share how he copes with the challenges posed by diabetes to quality of life, especially in relation to diet.
